WELCOME TO THE NEST OF THE DUCK

     Why  Duckman? Well, the technical thing is probably the French derivation of my last name which translates (if pronounced en francais) literally  to duck. However most of the time it's because I go my own way and can be a bit of a complicated person. I'm rather moody but I rarely bite anyone.. Birthday is August 12, Graduated High School in Pflugerville Texas '87, attended the University of Texas briefly before dropping out to tour with bands from '87 through '92. Hobbies - movies, fishing, hunting when I can, reptiles (Pythons and boas in particular), reading, computers ... I have played everything from chamber orchestras to musical theater to heavy metal. I've been from tiny places like Joe's generic in Austin to 25,000 ticket outdoor shows.  Doesn't matter where , I love to play music so that's what I do. It is my release and my peace ... my love affair with the electric bass that has lasted 17 years. 

     So what do you want to know?  I'll guess for now.

Favorite movies: Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Braveheart, The madness of King George, Henry V, Hamlet (Mel Gibson version), STAR WARS - All of them, This is Spinal Tap, good war movies of all kinds, Titanic - yes I really like it and I did cry so don't ask again, Dangerous Liasons, Dune - director's cut is Shizznickety!, Turner and Hooch

Favorite rock bands: STYX, RATT, Rush, Primus, Steve Morse Band, Dream Theater, Drain STH, Alice in Chains, Queensryche, Godsmack ... among others.

Favorite local bands: Racketbox (punk band extraordinaire), Downsiid (soul metal)

Favorite books/authors:  God Guns and Rock n Roll by Ted Nugent (Greg got me and autographed copy and I heartily thank him), Stephen Donaldson - the Gap series and the Thomas Covenant Chronicles, R A Salvatore and the Drizzt books, Medieval Epic poetry = Beowulf, El Cid, The Niebelungenlied etc..., Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance
